Listened to the Podcast - sorry I missed the live show. You brought back some memories, especially of dances at the Wequauquet Lake Yacht Club. If I recall correctly, the repertoire included "Smoke on the Water" and "Brown Sugar." At one key part in each chorus of "Brown Sugar" many of those dancing would simultaneously jump up and punch the ridiculously low suspended ceiling tiles. In addition to ones you mentioned, one movie that really brings me back is "Dazed and Confused" It captures the flavor of life at BHS in 1978. Cheers, John Swansey
Yes John,"Brown Sugar" had the jump up bit in it and I think a few of those ceiling tiles didn't last the night! Fun times indeed! All the best, Paul Lebel
Thanks for listening Mr Swansey. Great comments. The real heros of the podcast were Paul Lebel and Tim Delong for calling in. I was literally 1 minute from pulling the plug as my planned content were drying up plus I was on no sleep. We will do another podcast in a couple weeks and I will try to book a guest. If there are any broadcast professionals in our class and they listen to this podcast I am sorry if I have soiled your profession. Maybe I should enroll at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting!!!!
